Cadence/Gear Sensor Replacement
Note: Performing the following service in 8th gear is recommended.
Important Safety Precaution: When performing any service work, remove battery with power turned off. Upon service completion, check that all hardware has been tightened to the provided torque specifications where applicable.
Release tension in derailleur cable and unscrew quick disconnect.
Remove screws from face plate and release chain for cadence wheel.
Remove screws from cadence sensor, and gently open sealed unit.
Unscrew circuit boarding from housing.
Remove cable from backing.
Open new cadence sensor. Press wire back into gear sensor.
Once cable is secure, be sure gear selector is in 8th position farthest to the back. Not doing so will cause Error Code 13.
Reverse process, ensuring to load the chain back onto the top of the cadence wheel.
IC Display Replacement
Unscrew the quick disconnect located on the handle bar.
Unscrew the display from the handlebar mount and remove display.
Remount new display and reconnect.
Unscrew quick disconnect located on the handlebars.
Unscrew throttle from the handlebar mount. Replace throttle and reverse process.
Motor and Rear Tire Replacement
Note: Perform the following service in 8th gear.
Unfasten the two quick-disconnect cables connecting to the motor located on the rear chain stays.
Remove safety plate on both sides and rear derailleur.
Remove axle nuts on both sides. Carefully remove entire wheel from rear drop outs.
Perform needed repairs and reverse process. Be sure to install hardware with the correct torque settings as provided.
